7.4 kW Type 2 charging cable for electric cars and plug-in hybrids

With the Bar2Charge ST-250 charging cable, you can safely and reliably charge your electric car or plug-in hybrid at a public charging station or wallbox with a Type 2 connection. The cable has a Type 2 plug on both ends, also known as Mennekes, and is ready to use immediately.

With a maximum charging capacity of 7.4 kW on single-phase 32A, this charging cable is suitable for electric cars and plug-in hybrids that can charge via a single phase at up to 32 amps.

The actual charging capacity is determined by the car, charging point and charging cable. Does your car or charging point support a lower charging capacity? In that case, charging will automatically take place at the lower available capacity.

Choose from 5, 7.5 or 10 metres

The charging cable is available in three different lengths:

• 5 metres: practical when you park close to the charging point
• 7.5 metres: provides extra flexibility for different parking positions
• 10 metres: suitable when the charging point is farther from your car’s charging port

Protected during use and storage

When the protective cap is correctly fitted to the disconnected plug, the connection has an IP54 protection rating. When the plug is correctly connected to the car’s or charging point’s socket, an IP55 protection rating applies.

Always replace the protective cap after use and store the charging cable clean and dry. Do not leave the plugs in water and regularly check the cable and connections for damage.

Safe and reliable charging

The cable sheath is made of flexible and wear-resistant TPU and is designed for daily use. The copper conductors and silver-plated contact pins ensure reliable power transfer and a secure connection between the car and charging point.

Thanks to the 3 × 6 mm² cable conductors, the charging cable is suitable for a maximum current of 32A on a single phase.

Suitable for cars with a Type 2 connection

This charging cable is suitable for electric cars and plug-in hybrids with a Type 2 charging connection. To charge at the maximum capacity of 7.4 kW, both the car and the charging point must support single-phase 32A.

Can your car charge at a maximum of 3.7 kW, or does the charging point provide a maximum of 16A? You can use this cable, but the charging capacity will be limited to a maximum of 3.7 kW.

Please note

This is a standalone Mode 3 charging cable for use with a public charging station or wallbox with a Type 2 connection. The cable cannot be connected directly to a standard power socket. For this, you need a suitable portable home charger.
