The Wallbox Pulsar Max 22 kW is a compact and smart charging station for home and business use. This version has a fixed Type 2 charging cable and is available with a 5 or 7 metre cable. With a suitable three-phase connection, the charging station can charge at up to 22 kW.

Smart charging with the Wallbox App

Connect the Pulsar Max to the Wallbox App via WiFi and Bluetooth. You can schedule charging sessions, start or pause charging, adjust the charging current and view charging data. Bluetooth enables local control when there is temporarily no internet connection.

OCPP and back office - what does that mean?

The Wallbox Pulsar Max supports OCPP 1.6J. OCPP is an open communication protocol that allows the charging station to be connected to an external charge management or back-office platform.

This is particularly useful when you use the charging station for business purposes or want to allocate charging costs. Through such a back office, you can manage charging cards, grant users access, register charging sessions, view reports and charge the costs of charging to an employee, employer or other user, for example.

Important: OCPP itself is not a paid subscription. However, functions such as automatic cost allocation, charging card management and advanced back-office features generally require a subscription with the selected OCPP back-office provider. A well-known Dutch provider is E-Flux by Road, for example. You arrange this subscription directly with the back-office provider; it is separate from purchasing the charging station from Bar2Charge.

Do you use the Pulsar Max only at home and want to operate the charging station through the Wallbox App? In that case, you do not need an external OCPP back-office subscription for normal charging and app control.

Before taking out a subscription, always check whether the selected back-office provider supports this Wallbox Pulsar Max and OCPP 1.6J.

Solar energy and Power Boost

The Pulsar Max supports Wallbox Eco-Smart for smart charging with self-generated solar energy. With a suitable Wallbox energy meter, the installation can take available surplus solar energy into account.

The charging station can also be expanded with Power Boost dynamic load balancing. This automatically adjusts the charging power to the home's current electricity consumption to help prevent overloading the main connection.

Safe installation

The Pulsar Max has integrated 6 mA DC residual current detection. An external type A residual current device is also required for this version. Have the charging station connected in accordance with the applicable installation regulations, and match the maximum charging power to the grid connection and the electric car.
